The Wisdom of Stories

About Me

I am a military brat and my early life meant being unsure as to where we will live.  We were poor but we were surrounded by family who supported each other.  Where I am today is because of the hard work of my parents especially my Mom - who made sure that I had an education and taught me the work ethic I have today.  She's also the reason why I am very passionate about finding ways to support other women experiencing hardship and their need to be a part of a community.  I saw her struggle, but I also saw her confidence, resilience and belief in "just doing it" to make things happen. Her life story inspired my writing and personal stories and anecdotes in my talks in front of an audience.

I love books and I love to write. I’ve done many blogs and other articles published for digital magazines. I’ve also contributed a chapter for a holistic book. I took a break from formal writing - just like everyone, life happens and was very busy navigating them - taking me away from my storytelling, but I never stopped being an avid reader. A bookworm at heart, I always have book in hand.

After a decade, I am back writing and feel I have come home for good.
